On July 10th 2008, AVL took over LMM.
AVL, an Austrian group founded in 1948, is the world’s largest privately owned company for the development of Powertrain systems with internal combustion engines as well as instrumentation and test systems. AVL is divided into three divisions, PTE for Powertrain Engineering, ITS for Instrumentation and Test Systems and AST for Advance Simulation Tools.
